HSE Lead

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturing business who are looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Lead to join their team in Sheffield. 

This is a hands-on HSE role supporting the site leadership team and helping to drive high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across the business. 

• Coordinate the site's HSE activities, risk assessments and improvement plans.
• Maintain HSE policies, procedures, Contractor Control and Permit to Work systems.
• Lead HSE inspections, audits and external ISO 45001 audits.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, including RIDDOR reporting and corrective actions.
• Keep on top of changes to HSE legislation and close compliance gaps.
• Coordinate HSE training, inductions and competency records.
• Manage Fire Safety and Radiation Protection on site.
• Support occupational health, PPE/RPE, welfare and insurance requirements.
• Drive continual HSE improvement across the site and support the wider Sheffield operation.

We're looking for an experienced HSE professional with:

• NEBOSH Certificate
• Strong experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Experience with risk assessments, audits, investigations and HSE compliance.
• The confidence to work with everyone from shop floor to senior management.
• ISO 45001 auditing experience
