Elevation Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our clients team and take the lead on all things health, safety and environmental across their two key manufacturing sites.

This is a hands-on role where you'll have the freedom to make improvements, influence positive change and help create a safe, compliant and supportive working environment for everyone. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you'll be trusted to lead the EHS function and work closely with colleagues across the business.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading all health, safety and environmental activities across both sites.
  • Making sure we stay compliant with all relevant legislation and best practice.
  • Developing and improving our EHS policies, procedures and management systems.
  • Carrying out audits, inspections and risk assessments.
  • Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing improvements.
  • Delivering engaging training, inductions and toolbox talks.
  • Monitoring environmental compliance, including waste management and pollution prevention.
  • Producing EHS reports and performance data for senior management.
  • Working alongside managers and employees to promote a positive safety culture.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in legislation and making sure we're always one step ahead.
What we're looking for

You'll already have experience in an EHS role within manufacturing or a similar operational environment and be confident working independently across multiple sites.

You'll also have:

  • NEBOSH General Certifcate (Diploma Advantageous)
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • The confidence to challenge unsafe practices and influence change
  • A practical, organised and proactive approach
  • A full UK driving licence, as regular travel between our two sites is part of the role

It would be great if you also have qualifications such as IEMA, ISO 45001/14001 Lead Auditor or experience implementing Environmental Management Systems, but these aren't essential.
