About the Opportunity:

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing UK-based digital media and technology-focused business that delivers digital solutions for commercial clients across the UK and Europe.

They are seeking a Health, Safety & Environment Manager / HSE Manager to take full ownership of health, safety, and environmental compliance across both office operations and field engineering activities. This is a standalone role, ideal for an experienced HSE professional who enjoys autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to shape and develop a function within a growing business.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational safety management, covering ISO compliance, site-based installation risks, contractor management, and office health and safety responsibilities.

HSE Manager – Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the company’s full HSE function across office and field operations
  • Maintain and develop ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 management systems
  • Lead internal preparation and coordination for external ISO audits
  • Produce, review, and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Oversee contractor and subcontractor safety compliance on client installation sites
  • Manage working at height, electrical safety, and field engineering risk controls
  • Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Carry out workplace risk assessments, including DSE, fire safety, and general office safety
  • Deliver HSE training, inductions, and toolbox talks for operational teams
  • Liaise with senior leadership to report on HSE performance and compliance metrics
  • Support environmental and sustainability initiatives and compliance frameworks

Your Experience and Skills:

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate or Construction Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Proven experience in a standalone or lead HSE role
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001 standards
  • Experience within engineering, construction, installation, or field services environments
  • Understanding of working at height and electrical safety risks
  • Strong auditing, reporting, and documentation skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and promote a strong safety culture
  • Confident in managing contractors and external compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail

If you're looking to join a growing business where you can take ownership of the HSE function and make a real impact on safety culture and compliance standards, we’d love to hear from you.
