HSE Manager in Manchester, Greater Manchester

We're looking for an experienced HSE Manager to join a major data centre construction project, taking ownership of health, safety and environmental performance across a fast-paced, high-specification site.

This is a hands-on role for someone who knows construction, understands the pressure of delivering critical infrastructure, and has the confidence to challenge when standards aren't good enough.

What you'll be doing:

• Own and drive the site HSE strategy and performance
• Lead a proactive safety culture across contractors and project teams
• Identify risk, challenge unsafe practices and make things happen
• Manage inspections, audits, RAMS, incident investigations and reporting
• Work closely with the Project and Construction teams to deliver safely and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with legislation, client standards and project requirements
• Engage, coach and influence everyone from site operatives to senior leadership

What we're looking for:

• Proven HSE experience within major construction projects
• Experience working on data centres, critical infrastructure, MEP or similarly complex environments is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and construction standards
• NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent HSE qualification
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Someone who is visible, practical and confident enough to challenge the status quo
