HSEQ Advisor
Location: North East
Salary: £45,000–£55,000 + uplift for night work
Job Type: Full-time

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join an established contractor in the north east. 

This is an office-based role with regular travel to site, with the position split approximately 50/50 between day and night shift work. Night shifts will attract an uplift in pay.

The role would suit an HSEQ professional with a general construction background. Civils or Highways experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide HSEQ support and guidance across the business and sites

• Carry out site inspections, audits and investigations

• Support risk assessments, method statements and HSEQ documentation

• Monitor compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation

• Work closely with site and operational teams to maintain high standards

• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions

• Promote a positive health and safety culture

• Support continuous improvement across HSEQ processes

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in an HSEQ/H&S Advisor role

• Construction experience essential

• NEBOSH or relevant H&S qualification

• Good understanding of UK health & safety legislation

• Confident carrying out site inspections and working with operational teams

• Comfortable travelling to sites and working occasional night shifts

• Civils experience advantageous

£45,000–£55,000 + night shift uplift
