Due to the nature of the projects involved, they are looking for an experienced HSQE professional from a construction or civil engineering background who can provide practical support to project teams and management.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing professional HSEQ advice and support to operational and management teams across a range of construction and civil engineering projects.
• Ensuring projects comply with relevant UK legislation, company policies, client requirements and industry best practice.
• Carrying out regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews, identifying areas for improvement and providing solutions
• Assisting with the investigation of accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
Key competencies include:
• NEBOSH / NCRQ / IOSH or other relevant Health & Safety qualification.
• Experience working on water, utilities, energy or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and construction industry best practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with site teams, management, clients and subcontractors.
• A proactive and practical approach to health, safety, quality and environmental management.
