Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking an experienced HSEQ Business Partner to provide regional HSEQ coverage across a number of Hard and Soft FM contracts throughout the North.
Job Overview
Reporting to the PSPT HSEQ Manager, the HSEQ Business Partner will deliver proactive and strategic Health, Safety, Environment and Quality support across a diverse portfolio of contracts within the North region. The role supports a wide range of operational environments, from Education to Manufacturing settings, ensuring consistent HSEQ standards and best practice.
Working closely with operational stakeholders, the successful candidate will help embed a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement. The focus of the role is to drive excellence beyond compliance, strengthen operational resilience and support the development of a high-performing HSEQ culture across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical and proactive HSEQ support to operational teams and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with client counterparts to ensure HSEQ processes meet expectations while maintaining internal standards.
- Understand contract risk profiles and proactively identify, assess and manage potential hazards.
- Champion HSEQ campaigns, including Safe Spaces and Wellbeing initiatives, to improve engagement and outcomes.
- Support the effective implementation of HSEQ plans and ensure operational compliance.
- Build, maintain and continuously improve safety systems to enhance resilience and reduce incidents.
- Liaise with clients and external bodies, including the HSE, Environment Agency and local authorities, to maintain compliance and effective working relationships.
- Utilise business reporting tools, including Insight, to identify risks, provide guidance and improve safety performance.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in a similar HSEQ role.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental processes and legislation.
- Experience within a Facilities Management environment would be advantageous.
- Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and influence positive change.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Relevant quality-related qualifications, such as Internal Auditor certification.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire confidence and engagement.
- Strong risk awareness, problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and reactive environment.
Additional Requirements
- Full UK driving licence essential.
- Ability to travel regularly across multiple sites within the North region.
- Company car or car allowance provided.
