Team Lead, HV Energy Storage & Power Distribution 

Rate: (negotiable, based on experience) 


Our sister company, Futuremotive is looking for a HV Energy Storage & Power Distribution Team Leader,  who has excellent industry experience, with a track record of success, and a broad understanding of industry requirements and standards. We are looking for a hands-on leader, who will embrace the company’s cultural and professional business environment and will work directly with our customers and with the various suppliers involved in developing and prototype manufacturing High Voltage (HV) Battery and Power Distribution Unit (PDU) systems. This post will include leadership of both electrical and mechanical integration aspects of HV battery and PDU vehicle integration. 

The responsibilities of this position will include, but not be limited to: 

  • Act as the technical point of contact for the customer on Energy Storage & Power Distribution engineering matters, escalating relationship or commercial matters as required. 

  • Oversee engineering requirements with the customer. 

  • Support business development with regard to opportunities that require Energy Storage & Power Distribution input. 

  • Lead and manage a team to complete the agreed tasks on time. 

  • Provide technical leadership over the team and over Energy Storage & Power Distribution development activities. 

  • Lead and coordinate plans to ensure customer expectations and supporting tasks are achieved. 

  • Propose budget and staffing plan to upper management and hire/train necessary human resources to build a strong team to support current programs. 

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of customer requirements/requests to give clear and concise instructions to the FutureMotiv Energy Storage & Power Distribution team. 

  • Oversee / perform HV electrical system design solutions to achieve customer requirements. 

  • Oversee / perform HV electrical system bench / vehicle tests and provide analysis on issues found. 

  • Work out solutions to engineering issues within the FutureMotiv team and report to the customer as required. 

  • Comply with processes that deliver a safe working environment for high voltage tasks. Propose appropriate PPE equipment to support these processes. 

  • Create, implement, and improve current processes in place and add new ones as needed. 

  • Mentor and train the team during development and keep team up to date with technology. 

  • Promote and contribute to the maintenance and improvement of environmental/energy, quality and information assurance.
