HV Fitters

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for HV Fitters on a 2-month Contract, located in the North Wales.

We are currently recruiting experienced HV Fitters to support works on a National Grid substation project in North Wales. Candidates must have previous experience working within National Grid substations and hold the relevant site access/safety certification.

HV Fitters – Responsibilities

· Installation and assembly of GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear)

· Installation of HV switchgear and associated equipment

· Primary plant installation and assembly

· Mechanical fitting and alignment of HV equipment

· Working from engineering drawings and installation instructions

· Assisting with equipment preparation and installation

· Carrying out works in accordance with National Grid procedures and specifications

· Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required quality standards

Essential Requirements

Candidates must have:

· National Grid Persons

· CSCS / EMSS / CCNSG or relevant equivalent certification

· Previous experience working on National Grid substations

· Experience working with GIS installation & Busbar Installation

· Strong understanding of substation site safety and procedures

· Ability to work effectively as part of a site installation team

Previous experience working on HV/EHV substation projects, GIS installations would be highly advantageous.
