Are you an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with a strong background in High Voltage electrical systems, utilities, power, or infrastructure, looking to join a growing business where you can take responsibility for the safe delivery and management of HV projects?


This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding company, working across major High Voltage projects and taking ownership of HV safety, switching, isolation, and authorisation procedures. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, clients, and contractors to ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures and industry standards.

The Role


  • Act as Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for HV electrical systems and networks.

  • Take responsibility for HV safety, switching, isolation, and permit-to-work procedures.

  • Develop, review, and implement switching schedules and safety documentation.

  • Authorise and supervise HV switching and electrical work.

  • Ensure all HV activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and relevant regulations.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to engineers and operational teams.

  • Review RAMS, electrical drawings, and HV documentation.

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, DNOs, and project teams.

  • Support the commissioning and energisation of HV equipment and systems.

  • Attend project sites across the UK as required.

  • Maintain and develop HV safety procedures and operational standards.


The Person


  • Experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) within a High Voltage environment.

  • Strong experience working with HV systems, substations, switchgear, transformers, and associated equipment.

  • Experience with HV switching, isolation, permits, and safety rules.

  • Strong understanding of electrical safety legislation and industry standards.

  • Experience within Utilities, Power, Energy, Infrastructure, or Electrical Engineering.

  • Able to produce and review switching schedules, RAMS, and technical documentation.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.

  • Willingness to travel across the UK when required.
