The Role
As the HVAP Data Centre Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe operation and maintenance of critical electrical infrastructure while supervising a team of engineers to ensure the highest standards of service delivery. You will be responsible for delivering customer-specific SLA and KPI requirements, driving operational excellence, and maintaining compliance across all critical engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and manage Critical Environment Work Authorisations (CEWA) for maintenance and project activities.
  • Assess operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures through Safe Systems of Work, SOPs and EOPs.
  • Supervise engineering teams carrying out planned and reactive maintenance within a live critical environment.
  • Carry out asset condition reviews and support lifecycle planning.
  • Manage and comply with customer change control processes, including RNOW approvals.
  • Apply CERM methodologies to identify and manage engineering risks.
  • Confidently use and apply CERMview.
  • Act as the site's appointed High Voltage Authorised Person (HVAP).
  • Build strong working relationships with engineers, client representatives and stakeholders.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example in compliance, quality and best practice.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to operational excellence.
  • Support the Contract Manager with additional operational duties where required.
Essential Requirements
  • High Voltage Authorised Person (HVAP) qualification - in date or lapsed (essential).
  • City & Guilds Electrical Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent electrical qualification.
  • Critical/Data Centre or other mission-critical building services experience.
  • Strong knowledge of building services and HVAC systems.
  • HV switching experience.
  • Working knowledge of Permit to Work systems.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to lead engineering teams within a fast-paced critical environment.
