ICT SEN Teacher (Part Time)

Are you a passionate ICT Teacher looking to make a real difference in a specialist SEN setting?
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic ICT SEN Teacher to join a welcoming SEN school in Southend on a part-time basis, with an ASAP or September start. This is an exciting opportunity to teach and inspire pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN), and other complex learning needs.
The RoleAs an ICT SEN Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons tailored to the individual needs and abilities of pupils
- Differentiate learning to ensure every pupil can access the curriculum and achieve success
- Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support pupils in developing digital literacy, confidence, independence, and life skills
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, Therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Monitor, assess, and celebrate pupil progress against individual learning targets and EHCP outcomes
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and engagement in learning
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching ICT or Computing
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A flexible, patient, and creative approach to teaching
- Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential; mainstream teachers with a passion for SEND are encouraged to apply
- £150–£350 per day (depending on experience)
