What you'll be doingEvery day is different, but you can expect to:
- Deliver engaging IT and Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 opportunities available in some schools.
- Inspire students to develop digital skills, computational thinking, and confidence with technology.
- Teach topics including programming, cybersecurity, databases, networking, digital media, and emerging technologies.
- Plan and deliver lessons that challenge and motivate learners of all abilities.
- Assess progress, provide meaningful feedback, and celebrate achievement.
- Create a classroom where curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving thrive.
- Work closely with a supportive department and wider school community to continually improve learning.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching IT or Computer Science in a UK secondary school, or is an ECT ready to begin their teaching journey.
- Has excellent subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for technology.
- Builds positive relationships with students and colleagues alike.
- Brings energy, creativity, and fresh ideas into the classroom.
- Has strong classroom management skills and high expectations for learning.
- Is committed to helping every student achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
