🚀 Identity & Microsoft 365 Architect | London | 6-Month Contract

Marbel Grange Group is working with a client seeking an experienced Identity & Microsoft 365 Architect to support a major identity and Microsoft 365 transformation programme.

📍 Location: London
📅 Duration: 6 months
💷 Rate: £400–£500 per day
📋 IR35: Outside IR35

This is a hands-on architecture role focused on Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity, Microsoft 365, security, automation and migration.

🔐 Key Experience

Identity & Entra ID

  • Strong hybrid identity experience across AD DS and Microsoft Entra ID
  • SSO using SAML and OIDC
  • Conditional Access, MFA and authentication troubleshooting
  • Windows Hello for Business, FIDO2 and passkeys
  • Application Registrations, Enterprise Applications and Service Principals
  • B2B and external identity scenarios
  • Entra ID Governance, PIM, Entitlement Management and Lifecycle Workflows desirable

Microsoft 365

  • Strong experience across Exchange Online, Exchange Server and hybrid environments
  • Microsoft Teams and OneDrive
  • SharePoint Online administration, architecture, governance and permissions
  • Microsoft 365 security and compliance
  • Azure AD Connect and ADFS
  • Migration and tenant transformation experience

Automation & Development

  • Strong PowerShell and Microsoft Graph experience
  • REST APIs, JSON, OAuth 2.0 and certificate-based authentication
  • Automation of Microsoft 365 and Entra administration
  • Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Power Automate, .NET/C#/Python desirable

Security & Compliance

  • Strong troubleshooting and security mindset
  • Least-privilege access models
  • Conditional Access, MFA and phishing-resistant authentication
  • Microsoft Purview, DLP and Sensitivity Labels desirable
  • ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus or similar frameworks desirable

🎯 Key Project

A major element of the role will involve removing on-premises identity components from an existing Microsoft 365 sub-tenant and supporting its transfer to a third-party tenant.

We're looking for someone who can combine architectural thinking with hands-on technical delivery and confidently navigate complex Microsoft environments.
