Overview

A leading bioanalytical lab is seeking an immunoassay scientist with expertise in running and developing ligand-binding assays to support client GLP / GCP Bioanalytical studies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and transfer ligand binding assays with support from trained staff.
  • Communicate project updates and address client queries.
  • Collaborate with Study Directors and operational teams to meet project timelines.
  • Ensure seamless transition of methods into validation with internal teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assay-related technical challenges.
  • Draft and review Analytical Laboratory Methods (ALMs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements during assay development.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant scientific field.
  • 1+ year of industry experience in ligand binding assay development.
  • Strong scientific problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
  • Proven ability to explain complex concepts to clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Effective task prioritisation and multi-responsibility management.
  • Proactive, independent, and reliable work ethic.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design and execute method development and transfer experiments.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet milestones.
  • Troubleshoot assay development challenges.
  • Prepare and review relevant documentation.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and resolve obstacles.
  • Stay updated on and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
