An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Industrial Engineer to join a major aerospace and defence manufacturing programme supporting complex aircraft production.
Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you'll help improve manufacturing performance, optimise production flow and support operational delivery across a high-profile programme.
The Role
You'll work alongside engineering, production and programme teams to improve manufacturing efficiency through planning, capacity analysis and continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing and managing production and operational plans.
- Analysing work statements, production forecasts and manufacturing capacity.
- Supporting production scheduling and execution planning.
- Identifying manufacturing constraints and implementing practical solutions.
- Optimising production line balance and rate readiness.
- Conducting time studies and labour analysis.
- Developing production recovery plans.
- Supporting Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities.
- Updating factory visual management systems.
- Building strong relationships with engineering, production and programme stakeholders.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience in:
- Industrial Engineering within aerospace, defence or another complex manufacturing environment.
- Production planning and operational scheduling.
- Capacity planning and manufacturing optimisation.
- Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
