Job Title; Industrial Sewing Machinist 

Salary; £29,469 per annum 

Shift; Weekly Rotating shifts: 5.45am-1.45pm Mon-Fri AND 1.45pm-10.15pm Mon-Thur and 1.45pm-7.15pm Fri

Location; Loughborough  

We are recruiting for an Industrial Sewer to join a busy manufacturing site in Loughborough. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing high quality products whilst being able to work within a fast-paced environment. 

The Industrial Sewing Machinist Role;

• Operate industrial sewing machines (Seiko Industrial Lockstitch) to assemble, repair, or customise products according to specifications.
• Ensure all sewing tasks are completed with precision, maintaining high quality standards throughout production.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and perform basic maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while adhering to quality control procedures.
• Maintain organised workstations, ensuring tools and materials are readily accessible for efficient workflow.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors of material needs.

The Industrial Sewing Machinist Candidate; 

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Proven sewing skills with experience operating industrial sewing machines.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, diagrams, or technical instructions clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good physical stamina; able to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks comfortably.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures relevant to manufacturing environments.
