£35,000–£40,000 + Mileage Allowance

Based near Leicester | Frequent European Travel

A leading provider of digital UV inkjet printing technology is seeking an experienced Inkjet Field Service Engineer. This role suits someone driven, self‑motivated, and disciplined, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Role Overview

• Install, set up, maintain and service digital UV inkjet printers across UK and European customer sites
• Deliver technical support, troubleshooting and first‑line diagnostics to minimise equipment downtime
• Escalate technical issues promptly in line with service standards
• Identify additional revenue opportunities during service visits and report them to the sales team
• Support strong customer relationships to maximise satisfaction and uphold company reputation

Experience & Skills Required

• Previous experience as an Inkjet Field Technician/Engineer
• Strong technical understanding of digital UV inkjet systems and processes
• Background in servicing large‑format printers or comparable technology (B2B)
• Excellent fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability
• Solid electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge
• Skilled in electronic diagnostic tools
• Fluent English; additional European languages advantageous
• Strong IT skills, including network infrastructure knowledge
• Proficient with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and CorelDraw
• Experience in colour management and profiling
• Confident in customer handling and delivering B2B training
• Familiar with helpdesk systems, troubleshooting procedures and warranty processes
• Experience attending exhibitions and presentations
• Full clean driving licence
• Able to travel frequently across Europe (2–3 trips per month)

Package

• £35,000–£40,000 depending on experience
• Mileage allowance (no company car)
• Basic pension
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays
• Standard working hours: 08:30–16:30, with flexibility due to travel

Location

Ideally based near Leicester, with regular travel throughout Europe.
