The role

The role is pivotal in the monitoring and reporting of Orbit’s grant funded retrofit programmes, and Orbit’s overarching EPC C and Net Zero Carbon Strategies.

The post holder will track individual projects and Strategy programmes, monitoring progress against key KPIs and milestones, highlighting any risks. They will provide valuable, accurate and clear data insights to internal and external stakeholders on the progress of programmes, allowing for data informed decision making to support successful delivery

This role is part of Property where you'll help us to lead the way investing and maintaining 46,000 homes.

What you'll achieve

This role will support the Operational Retrofit Manager across project management, governance and administrative activities to ensure the successful delivery of programmes that contribute to Orbit’s EPC C and NZC goals. They will do this by implementing robust processes and controls that ensure compliance with all funding and regulatory requirements

  • Produce internal and external project reports, including project progress reports for Funding Partners and the Department of Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), by strict deadlines
  • Develop and maintain KPI and milestone tracking tools, using methods such as dashboards, visualisations etc. Produce progress reports for internal and external stakeholders, creating key insights to support the project and grant delivery
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness and quality of all data used for reporting and compliance purposes
  • Work with the Finance Team to track spend, collate evidence, and complete grant claims in compliance with funding agreements and other retrofit linked loans and bonds, by strict deadlines
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Capital Delivery, Finance and Governance to enable robust reporting, forecasting and compliance
  • Provide project office support including risk registers, change control processes, audit tracking and meeting support etc

What you'll bring

Essential skills

  • Experience in a Project Management Office environment
  • Knowledge/experience of SHDF or WHSHF projects
  • Experience of managing small projects or substantial parts of the project lifecycle
  • Strong Excel and Word skills
  • English and Mathematics GCSE (or equivalent) Grade 6 or above

Desirable skills

  • Ability to transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights using Power BI
  • PMO qualifications
  • Previous experience with HNES grant funding requirements
