Installation & Commissioning GIS Engineer

- Plan, prepare and coordinate pre-commissioning / commissioning / start-up activities leading to project completion.
- Develop and ensure adherence to a detailed commissioning schedule and plan, covering all aspects of pre-commissioning and start-up phases through to handover.
- Prepare and / or update a comprehensive commissioning manual. Develop a reporting structure and accountabilities for the commissioning team.
- Plan and coordinate the commissioning / start up schedule and necessary work with third party providers. Develop pre-commissioning test procedures and documentation. Correct any deficiencies found. Ensure compliance and progress reports are produced in accordance with client and legislative requirements.
- Liaise with government agencies where required to obtain necessary approvals prior to start-up. Prepare client acceptance forms and ensure satisfactory sign-off is obtained.
The ideal profile is someone who has:
- Electrical Substation experience on 38 / 110 / 220kV equipment.
- Relay programming experience with a strong background in the power sector service & maintenance,
- Experience in delivering technical reports and fault analysis. Maintain Maintenance Management System, complete all customer fault reports & commissioning documentation where required in a timely manner.
- An ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative.
- An OEM-recognised GIS certification would be great addition to CV for this role.
