Combat Fire Ltd is looking for an experienced Installation Engineer / Electrical Engineer with proven steel containment installation experience to join our growing team installing specialist automatic fire suppression systems throughout the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong electrical or industrial installation background who wants to develop their skills within the specialist fire protection industry.
Previous fire suppression experience is not essential – we provide extensive in-house and on-site training on our systems.
The Role
You will work as part of our installation team on a wide variety of commercial and industrial projects, installing automatic fire suppression systems designed to protect specialist risks.
A significant part of the role involves the installation of steel containment, so previous hands-on experience in this area is essential.
Projects are located throughout the UK, so the role involves regular travel and overnight stays during the working week. Current project locations include London, Milton Keynes, Essex, Bradford, South Wales and Edinburgh.
Our Head Office and warehouse are based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire (LU7 4QB).
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Previous practical experience installing steel containment
- Electrical/industrial installation experience
- A full UK driving licence
- The ability to work independently and as part of an installation team
- Good communication and time-management skills
- A willingness to travel and stay away during the working week
Desirable Experience and Qualifications
It would be advantageous, but not essential, to have experience or qualifications in:
- · JIB Approved Electrician
- · Commercial and industrial electrical installations
- · Reading and working from design drawings
- Control circuits and three-phase motors
- Pumps and motors
- Fire systems and relevant British Standards
- Other industrial electrical qualifications
- Experience using Windows, tablets and mobile devices for job documentation
Salary and Benefits
£38,000–£42,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus:
