Our client is a leading aluminium systems and façade specialist delivering high-quality curtain walling, window, door and building envelope solutions across commercial, residential and public-sector projects throughout the UK.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Installation Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple installation projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Installation Manager will take full responsibility for several live projects, managing installation teams, subcontractors, programme delivery, quality standards and client relationships.

The successful candidate will be a strong site leader with extensive experience within the fenestration, curtain walling, glazing or façade sector and a proven track record of successfully delivering installation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of allocated installation projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to specification.
  • Manage multiple installation projects simultaneously across various locations.
  • Produce detailed weekly project reports covering programme status, labour resources, plant, equipment, risks and progress.
  • Ensure all project documentation is completed in accordance with company and ISO quality procedures.
  • Monitor installation quality and ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and client requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate site installation teams and subcontractors.
  • Set clear daily and weekly objectives for site operatives and installation teams.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, productivity and safety performance.
  • Attend client, subcontractor and main contractor meetings as required.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, site teams and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure all operatives understand and comply with project-specific RAMS and health & safety requirements.
  • Monitor labour productivity and resource allocation to maximise project performance.
  • Manage site plant, access equipment, scaffolding and lifting equipment requirements.
  • Ensure hired equipment is effectively utilised and returned or off-hired when no longer required.
  • Anticipate material requirements and coordinate deliveries to maintain installation programmes.
  • Work closely with design, manufacturing and project management teams to resolve site issues.
  • Ensure site records, quality documentation and project files are accurately maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee the return and management of stillages, materials and surplus stock.
Candidate Requirements Essential
  • Proven experience as an Installation Manager, Site Manager or Contracts Supervisor within the fenestration, curtain walling, façade or architectural glazing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of aluminium windows, doors, curtain walling and glazing systems.
  • Experience managing multiple installation projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of construction health and safety requirements.
  • Experience managing subcontract installation teams.
  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
  • SMSTS certification.
  • CSCS Management Card.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
  • Experience working with major contractors and commercial construction projects.
  • Knowledge of QA processes and ISO 9001 standards.
