Insurance Surveyor

Watford | St. Albans | Hemel Hempstead | Harrow (or close surrounding areas)

Permanent | Office/Site-based

£45-65k (doe) plus car / van / allowance options and bonus  

This a great role for an insurance industry experienced Surveyor / Estimator seeking a fresh challenge; joining a strong team in the Watford area you will be working for a successful and specialist contractor who deal with general peril claim reinstatement works as well as subsidence.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assessing property claims (medium to large loss)
• Producing reports and scopes of work / pricing repairs using SOR (scoping tools)
• Producing tenders for large losses over £100k  
• Auditing works, managing variations, and assisting contract managers as required

Systems:
You will need to have experience using Symbility/CoreLogic, Xactimate/Xactware, Synergy, Metrix or other similar insurance-based scoping tools.

Surveyor Qualifications/Experience:

• Experience in property claims surveying is essential
• Experience in higher value/complex claims is desirable
• Subsidence experience is desirable (but this is not essential)
• You will need to be able to put together comprehensive report/scopes of work to ensure all works are covered and a good profit margin is maintained
• Full UK driving licence is required (car or allowance/milage provided)

When not visiting claims, you will be office-based working with a well-established strong team including administrative and technical team members. This is a company who support additional training & development and are looking for someone to join them and grow with the business over the comping years.
