Building Surveyor / Property Maintenance Surveyor

We are working with a local authority seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to support the delivery of repairs, maintenance, damp and mould, and property inspection services across a diverse housing portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical surveyor with strong technical knowledge and experience diagnosing building defects, managing repairs, and ensuring properties remain safe, compliant, and well maintained.

• Carry out property inspections and condition surveys.
• Diagnose building defects, damp and mould issues, and repair requirements.
• Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and cost estimates.
• Manage repair and maintenance projects through to completion.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure works meet required standards.
• Provide technical advice on building pathology and remedial solutions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and health and safety requirements.

You'll have experience working within housing, property services, maintenance, or building surveying environments and possess strong technical knowledge across residential properties.

Essential:

• Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) in Surveying, Property Maintenance, Building Construction, or a related discipline.
• Alternatively, BTEC, ONC or OND in Building or Construction.
• Minimum 5 years' experience working across a range of property types.

Desirable:

• HNC/HND in Building Surveying, Construction, or a related discipline.
