£425-£500 per day | Outside IR35 | 3 Month Contract | Full Time | Immediate Start

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Digital Business Analyst to join an established business on a focused ecommerce contract, taking ownership of requirements analysis and helping turn complex business needs into clear, sprint-ready deliverables.

This company are looking for an experienced contractor to improve the quality and speed of requirements moving into development, supporting closer collaboration between business stakeholders, Product, Engineering and QA.

In this role, you will lead discovery sessions, validate requirements and break down complex features into well-defined user stories. You will write detailed acceptance criteria, identify edge cases and dependencies, and support engineering and QA throughout development and testing.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience as a Business Analyst within an Agile digital delivery environment, with strong practical knowledge of INVEST principles and Gherkin acceptance criteria. Ecommerce experience would be particularly valuable, alongside the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar systems and resolve gaps in requirements.

The Role:

• Run discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather and validate requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear user stories with testable Given / When / Then acceptance criteria.
• Break down epics and features into appropriately sized, independently deliverable stories.
• Identify business rules, edge cases, error states, dependencies and unanswered questions before refinement.
• Work closely with the Product Owner, UX, Engineering and QA through development, testing and defect triage.
• Improve requirements templates, Definition of Ready and backlog quality, with a clear handover.

The Person:

• Experienced Business Analyst within an Agile digital product or technology delivery environment.
• Strong requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to write INVEST-compliant user stories and detailed Gherkin acceptance criteria.
• Experienced in breaking down complex requirements and supporting developers and QA through delivery.
• Ecommerce experience desirable, particularly B2B accounts, pricing, checkout, order management or API integrations.
• Available immediately or at short notice, with the ability to attend Wigston three days per week.
