Interim Financial Accountant

The Interim Financial Accountant will play a key role in managing financial reporting and ensuring compliance within the business. Based in Hedge End, this temporary role supports the day-to-day financial operations, helping the business stay on track with its financial goals.

Our client is a market leading organisation based in Hedge End. With excellent links to public transport & free parking, this is an ideal location for any commuter. Due to a secondment, the business requires an additional pair of hands to look after the position for approximately 9-12 months.

Description

As the Interim Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Prepare and review financial statements in line with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end reporting.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
• Support the audit process by providing required documentation and responses.
• Analyse financial data to assist in decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and controls.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and relevant standards.
• Provide ad hoc financial support as needed by the business.

Profile

In order to be considered for the Interim Financial Accountant should have:

• Professional accounting qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience in the transport and distribution industry is an advantage.

Job Offer

• Daily rate of £300-£360, dependent on the level of experience.
• Temporary contract offering flexibility.
