Interim Head Of Finance

Educational not-for-profit organisation based in Portsmouth are looking to recruit an Interim Head of Finance to support the CFO in the day to day financial management of the charity on a 6 month contract.

What will the Interim Head of Finance role involve?

• Assisting with all aspects of financial planning, budgeting management accounts and annual reporting processes.
• Supporting the preparation of all financial and statutory returns including HMRC requirements and charity SORP and management of the external audit process and other professional consultancy relationships.
• Provision of regular financial reporting and forecasting to support operational management in addition to working closely with departmental budget holders to ensure robust financial controls.

Suitable Candidate for the Interim Head of Finance vacancy:

• Applicants for the Interim Head of Finance position will ideally hold a full accountancy qualification with a proven hands on track record in financial management, budget setting and statutory reporting.
• Exceptional organisational, analytical and communication skills will be essential to undertake the role successfully.
• Previous experience of working within a charitable or not-for-profit environment would be beneficial but not essential.
• Available to start on short notice before the end of August.

• The role will be for a period of 6 months and will be offered on a hybrid working basis with the successful applicant expected to go in to the office 3 days a week as a minimum.
