Description
- Provide strategic leadership for the procurement function.
- Review and enhance procurement governance, policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement robust contract procedure rules and procurement frameworks.
- Advise senior stakeholders on routes to market and procurement best practice.
- Assess future procurement requirements and establish a suitable operating model.
- Lead discussions around procurement systems and technology requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant procurement legislation and internal governance requirements.
- Support the authority in developing a sustainable long-term procurement strategy.
- Prepare the organisation for the appointment of a permanent Head of Procurement.
Profile
- Previous experience operating at Head of Procurement level or above.
- Strong public sector procurement experience.
- Proven track record of procurement transformation and function set-up.
- Experience implementing governance frameworks, policies and procedures.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate autonomously.
- Strong understanding of procurement legislation and compliance requirements.
- Experience establishing new procurement functions within emerging organisations would be highly advantageous.
Job Offer
Daily rate from £700 - £850 p/day (Inside IR35) depending on your level of experience. Part time role, with 2 days per week working.
