Contract Type: Interim / Day Rate Contract – initial term to be confirmed

Day Rate: £500 – £650 per day (Inside IR35), dependent on experience

Our client is a fast-growing, purpose-led consumer goods brand disrupting the personal care category with a sustainable, refillable product model. Since launch, the business has built a loyal, values-driven customer base across direct-to-consumer, retail and marketplace channels, and continues to scale rapidly. Backed by venture investment, the organisation is entering an exciting phase of growth and is seeking interim supply chain leadership to support this next stage.

The Role

This is a hands-on, interim leadership role responsible for the end-to-end supply chain function during a critical period of growth. The successful candidate will take ownership of manufacturing relationships, logistics, inventory and demand planning, ensuring the business can scale efficiently while maintaining product quality and service levels.

Reporting into senior leadership, this role offers the opportunity to make a tangible commercial impact within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and to embed quickly given the interim nature of the assignment.

Key Responsibilities

•          Own end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution during a critical growth phase

•          Manage relationships with manufacturing partners, co-packers and logistics/3PL providers

•          Lead demand planning and inventory management to balance service levels, cost and cash flow

•          Identify and deliver efficiencies across procurement, logistics and fulfilment

•          Ensure robust stock control and forecasting processes across all sales channels

•          Lead, coach and support a small supply chain team

•          Partner closely with commercial, finance and operations teams on forecasting and stock strategy

•          Support the implementation of improved systems and processes as the business scales

•          Monitor and report on key supply chain KPIs, including service levels, cost and stock availability

•          Manage risk across the supply base, ensuring continuity of supply during a period of rapid growth

About You

•          Proven experience in a senior supply chain leadership role, ideally within FMCG, consumer goods or DTC/e-commerce businesses

•          Track record of managing manufacturing, logistics and 3PL relationships

•          Strong background in demand planning, inventory management and forecasting

•          Experience operating in a fast-paced, scaling or high-growth environment

•          Comfortable working hands-on and at pace, with the ability to embed quickly

•          Commercially minded, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

•          Confident communicator, able to build relationships across all levels of the business

•          Immediately available or available at short notice
