An outstanding specialist school in North London is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join its multidisciplinary therapy team on an initial 6-month interim contract, with the intention of offering a permanent position to the successful candidate.
Following the completion of a brand-new purpose-built school and a recent expansion, this is an exciting opportunity to join a service that was rated Outstanding in all areas in its latest inspection. Responsibilities - Interim Physiotherapist
- Carry out physiotherapy assessments and develop individualised treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to each student's physical needs.
- Assess, prescribe and monitor seating and postural management requirements in partnership with Occupational Therapists.
- Regularly review and adapt intervention programmes to maximise student outcomes.
- Contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Annual Reviews and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, support staff and families to support each student's development.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, reports and documentation in line with HCPC and professional standards.
- Provide advice and guidance to Learning Support Assistants and other staff to promote best practice.
- Manage and prioritise your own caseload effectively.
Requirements - Interim Physiotherapist
- Degree in Physiotherapy with current HCPC registration.
- Previous 3 years experience working with children or young people, within education or specialist settings.
- Confident assessing and managing children with complex physical needs.
- Experience with postural management, seating assessments and mobility interventions is desirable.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to safeguarding, professional development and delivering outstanding care.
