Hackney | £40-£45 per hour | 6-Month Contract with Opportunity to Transition to Permanent

An outstanding specialist school in North London is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join its multidisciplinary therapy team on an initial 6-month interim contract, with the intention of offering a permanent position to the successful candidate.

Following the completion of a brand-new purpose-built school and a recent expansion, this is an exciting opportunity to join a service that was rated Outstanding in all areas in its latest inspection. You'll work within a welcoming, supportive environment where therapy is fully integrated into students' education and development.

Responsibilities - Interim Physiotherapist

  • Carry out physiotherapy assessments and develop individualised treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to each student's physical needs.
  • Assess, prescribe and monitor seating and postural management requirements in partnership with Occupational Therapists.
  • Regularly review and adapt intervention programmes to maximise student outcomes.
  • Contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Annual Reviews and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, support staff and families to support each student's development.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, reports and documentation in line with HCPC and professional standards.
  • Provide advice and guidance to Learning Support Assistants and other staff to promote best practice.
  • Manage and prioritise your own caseload effectively.


Requirements - Interim Physiotherapist

  • Degree in Physiotherapy with current HCPC registration.
  • Previous 3 years experience working with children or young people, within education or specialist settings.
  • Confident assessing and managing children with complex physical needs.
  • Experience with postural management, seating assessments and mobility interventions is desirable.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, professional development and delivering outstanding care.
