We are seeking an Interim Procurement Transformation Manager to lead the development and embedding of category management as part of a wider procurement transformation programme.
This role focuses on building category management capability from the ground up, helping stakeholders move from reactive purchasing to a more structured, strategic, category-led approach to managing spend and suppliers.

Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the development and implementation of category management across the organisation
- Work closely with stakeholders to define, build, and embed category strategies
- Help structure and categorise spend, building category knowledge and insight
- Develop and introduce category management templates, tools, and best‑practice frameworks
- Educate and support stakeholders to understand what category management is, why it matters, and how to apply it
- Support the handover of category management activity into business-as-usual ownership, ensuring sustainability
Profile
A successful Category Management Transformation Specialist should have:
- Strong experience in category management and strategic sourcing
- Proven ability to deliver procurement transformation and embed change
- Confident engaging, educating, and influencing stakeholders at different levels
- Experience developing category strategies, frameworks, and ways of working
- Hands-on, delivery-focused mindset
Job Offer
- Competitive daily rate between £450 - £600 per day inside IR35 dependant on experience.
- Hybrid working pattern.
- Interim opportunity for 6 - 12 months.
