Interim senior financial accountant

• Interim Senior Financial Accountant | 10-Month Contract | Outside IR35
• South-West: 2 days needed on site
• £500 per day
• October 2026-July 2027 (with potential for a small extension)
  
  A large and complex UK organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the finance team on an interim basis during a critical reporting period.
  
  This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys operating in a sizeable, multi-entity environment and working closely with senior finance stakeholders.
  
  Key Responsibilities
  ✅ Lead statutory accounts preparation and year-end reporting activities
  ✅ Prepare and review consolidated financial statements
  ✅ Manage and coordinate external audit processes
  ✅ Deliver high-quality technical accounting support and advice
  ✅ Support improvements to financial reporting processes and controls
  ✅ Build strong relationships across the wider finance function and senior stakeholders
  
  What We're Looking For
  ✔ ACA / ACCA qualified accountant
  ✔ Strong statutory accounting and financial reporting experience
  ✔ Proven consolidation experience within larger, complex organisations
  ✔ Confident in managing external audit relationships
  ✔ Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail
  ✔ Experience operating within sizeable corporate, public sector or complex organisational environments
  
  Additional Information
  *Charity sector experience is not essential but would be desirable/ useful
  *Strong technical accounting and reporting expertise is the priority
  *Hybrid working 2 days per week in the office
