Role: Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer - £45,000/£50,000 + Benefits

You'll be involved in the design and delivery of electrical building services projects from initial concept through to construction, working across a varied portfolio of Commercial, Residential and Retail developments. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and consultants, you'll help deliver efficient, compliant electrical designs that meet project requirements while supporting sustainable, future-focused engineering solutions.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical building services solutions across a range of projects.
• Produce electrical design calculations, specifications, drawings and technical information to meet project requirements and programmes.
• Develop practical, compliant and efficient design solutions tailored to client-specific requirements.
• Work collaboratively with contractors, consultants, project managers and wider multidisciplinary teams to coordinate designs effectively.
• Attend project meetings, communicate design decisions and build strong working relationships with project stakeholders.
• Take ownership of electrical design packages and progressively assume greater responsibility for project delivery.
• Undertake electrical engineering calculations and apply sound technical judgement to validate design solutions.
• Contribute to energy-efficient, sustainable and future-focused electrical engineering approaches.
• Support the wider team in maintaining high standards of technical delivery and client service.

The Ideal Candidate:

• 4+ years' experience working as an Electrical Design Engineer or Electrical Building Services Designer.
• Ideally HNC/HND qualified, with a good technical understanding of electrical building services design.
• Experience working on commercial building services projects, with exposure to residential projects also beneficial.
• A sound understanding of electrical design principles, relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Experience with, or an understanding of, CAD, Revit and BIM workflows.
• A forward-thinking attitude, with a genuine desire to learn, develop and take on more responsibility.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to collaborate with colleagues, contractors and
