Overview
Clearfield Recruitment is currently seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor for an exciting opportunity on an £8 million construction project involving the conversion of existing office space into residential accommodation in the Bracknell / Reading area.
This is a site-based position on a two-year project, offering an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking for long-term stability and the chance to contribute to a substantial residential conversion scheme.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the commercial management of the project.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and valuations.
- Monitor project costs, variations and contractual changes.
- Support cost reporting, forecasting and budget control.
- Work closely with the site and commercial teams to ensure the project is delivered within budget.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.
Skills
- Experience working as an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills.
- Experience with subcontractor packages, valuations and variations.
- Good communication, organisation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a site-based project team.
