Internal Medicine Specialist, Brilliant Team. Great Cases. Sunshine Included. Queensland | Up to $300,000.
Let’s face it.
If you're an Internal Medicine Specialist, you're not scrolling job sites because you're desperate for work.
You're looking for the right opportunity.
The kind of role where you can practise high-level medicine, work alongside talented colleagues, have access to excellent equipment, and still have time to enjoy life outside the hospital.
Welcome to East Coast Veterinary Specialists.
Located on Queensland's stunning Sunshine Coast, they’re looking for an Internal Medicine Specialist to join their growing multidisciplinary referral team. You'll be working alongside their existing Medicine Specialist, Karen, making this a genuinely collaborative role rather than being handed the keys and wished good luck.
As the service continues to grow, there is also the potential for the position to evolve into a sole-charge role for someone looking to take greater ownership of the department, and help shape its future direction.
And the best part?
No overnight on-call. No sole responsibility for emergency cases. No sacrificing your weekends to hospital phone calls. Just great medicine, great people, and a lifestyle many people dream about.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll manage a varied and rewarding referral caseload including:
- Endocrine, gastrointestinal, renal, respiratory and immune-mediated diseases.
- Advanced diagnostics, ultrasonography and endoscopy.
- Leading and developing the Internal Medicine department, with the opportunity to shape and expand a rapidly growing service to suit your interests and expertise. Supported by off-site emergency services and consultant anaesthetists.
- Mentoring interns and helping shape the future of their Internal Medicine service.
Whether you're recently boarded or an experienced specialist, they will help tailor the role around your interests and career goals.
Why You Will Love Working Here
- Salary package of $250,000-$300,000.
- Four-day working week.
- No overnight on-call.
- Dedicated emergency clinicians handling after-hours emergencies.
- Exceptional support from their highly skilled Veterinary Technicians.
- Paid study leave and generous CPD support.
- Board examination support where applicable.
- Professional memberships fully covered.
- Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are negotiable.
- Flexible working arrangements considered.
