Internal Sales Executive — Vacuum Excavation Hire

Pier (UK) Ltd is one of the UK's leading vacuum excavation and equipment hire specialists, operating a nationwide fleet of vehicles from our headquarters in Newton-Le-Willows.

We're looking for an Internal Sales Executive to join our sales team. This is a desk-based role focused on winning new work, growing existing accounts and keeping our fleet busy. If you're commercially minded, comfortable on the phone and want to build a career with a business that's growing fast, we want to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

• Handling inbound enquiries and converting them into confirmed hires
• Making outbound calls to lapsed and target accounts to generate new business
• Preparing and following up quotations, and negotiating rates within agreed parameters
• Working closely with the operations and transport teams to match the right unit and operator to each job
• Keeping the CRM and sales tracker accurate and up to date
• Building long-term relationships with contractors, site managers and procurement teams
• Supporting the wider sales team to hit depot and national targets

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in internal sales, telesales or account management — plant hire, construction or industrial services is an advantage but not essential
• Confident phone manner and the resilience to pick up the phone every day
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
• A commercial head — you understand that margin matters as much as volume

Uncapped bonus structure

Our bonus scheme is uncapped — the more you bring in, the more you earn. There is no ceiling and no cap on what a strong performer can make.
