Are you an experienced Inventory Controller or Stock Controller looking for your next opportunity within a well-established and growing business?

My client, a specialist manufacturer of bespoke retail display solutions for the jewellery industry, is seeking a proactive and detail-focused Inventory Controller to join their warehouse team in Enfield on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on inventory control experience who enjoys maintaining stock accuracy, conducting cycle counts, and investigating stock discrepancies within a busy warehouse environment.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 09:00am - 5:30pm
  • Friday: 09:00am - 2:00pm

The Role

As Inventory Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining stock accuracy and supporting warehouse operations. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of inventory control processes, ensuring stock records remain accurate and any discrepancies are investigated and resolved effectively.

Key Duties

  • Manage and complete warehouse cycle counts, ensuring all stock locations are counted within agreed timescales.
  • Perform regular inventory audits and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Investigate stock discrepancies, shortages, and missing inventory, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Prepare stock adjustment requests and supporting documentation for management approval.
  • Assist with the accurate receipting and recording of inbound shipments.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through effective stock control processes.
  • Produce inventory reports and analyse stock data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure best practice stock management procedures are followed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have proven experience within an Inventory Control, Stock Control or Warehouse Inventory position and be comfortable managing cycle counts from start to finish.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in Inventory Control, Stock Control or Warehouse Inventory Management.
  • Strong experience conducting and managing cycle counts.
  • Ability to investigate stock variances and identify root causes of discrepancies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory management software would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to suggest improvements to inventory processes.
