Carmichael UK is recruiting for an experienced Supervisor to join a major project at Devonport Docks. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile programme of works within a secure and safety-critical environment.
We are seeking a hands-on Supervisor with a strong background in construction, engineering, marine, or industrial environments who can lead site operations safely and efficiently while ensuring works are delivered to programme and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities.
- Manage operatives and subcontractors on site.
- Ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with approved RAMS.
- Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and safety inspections.
- Monitor productivity, quality, and programme performance.
- Maintain accurate site records and reports.
- Liaise with site management, engineers, and client representatives.
- Promote a positive health, safety, and environmental culture at all times.
- Previous experience working as a Supervisor on construction, infrastructure, marine, or industrial projects.
- IRATA Rope Access Certification (current and valid).
- Level 3 Confined Space Certification (current and valid).
- SSSTS or SMSTS.
- Strong understanding of HSEQ requirements within a safety-critical environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced project environment.
- Experience working on MOD, dockyard, marine, or heavy civils projects.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Temporary Works or lifting operations experience.
- Relevant trade or engineering background.
