Description
Key Responsibilities
- Review outputs from an initial discovery phase.
- Analyse existing datasets and assess data quality.
- Develop data mapping and migration strategies.
- Execute data migration from legacy systems to a new cloud platform.
- Provide recommendations on migration approach, risks, and timelines.
- Support successful implementation and completion of the migration project.
- Map the Ocella database and associated DMS data to the Idox database schema (Idox database schema not yet available).
- Extract, package and prepare data by service area for secure transmission via SFTP.
- Support the supplier with data load query requirements (data loading remains the supplier's responsibility).
- Support two rounds of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for each service area.
Essential Technical Skills
- Strong experience in data migration projects.
- Expertise in data design and structuring data for new systems.
- Proven ability in data mapping, including matching and transforming data between source and target systems.
- Experience migrating data from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms.
- Ability to assess data quality, identify issues, and recommend migration approaches.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience with iDocs Cloud migrations.
- Experience conducting data discovery, analysis, and migration planning activities.
- Ability to estimate effort, timescales, and migration requirements.
Preferred Experience
- Public sector experience is preferred, particularly understanding how public sector data is managed and governed.
- Experience delivering end-to-end data migration and transformation projects.
