Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Support Engineer to provide on-site technical support. This contract role will support the existing IT team during a period of increased workload, providing hands-on user support while assisting with the maintenance and administration of local IT infrastructure.
The successful candidate will work closely with local and global IT teams and development teams to ensure reliable day-to-day IT operations and a high level of service for users.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site IT support to studio users, resolving hardware, software and infrastructure-related issues.
- Respond to and manage IT support requests through the helpdesk function.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to desktops, laptops, peripherals, software applications and user access.
- Support user onboarding and offboarding processes, including account setup, equipment provisioning and access management.
- Install, configure and maintain hardware and software across the studio environment.
- Maintain accurate IT documentation, including system configurations, procedures and support records.
- Manage IT assets, inventory tracking and equipment lifecycle processes.
- Assist with the coordination and maintenance of local studio IT infrastructure.
- Support server room activities, including upkeep, monitoring and general maintenance.
- Administer and support Windows client and server environments.
- Monitor system health and performance to support uptime and reliability.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and guidance to development teams.
- Support incident investigation, resolution and escalation processes.
- Collaborate with global IT teams across infrastructure, networking, security and Linux functions.
- Assist with testing and deployment of system changes and releases.
- Provide remote support to users in overseas locations when required.
- Participate in incident response and emergency procedures relating to studio IT systems.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 2+ years' experience working in an on-site IT support or infrastructure support role.
- Strong experience supporting Windows desktop environments.
- Experience with Windows Server administration and related technologies.
- Good understanding of hardware, software and peripheral troubleshooting.
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, LAN, WAN and VPN technologies.
- Experience supporting user accounts, access management and onboarding/offboarding processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support users at all levels.
- Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider IT teams.
