Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and knowledgeable IT Support Technician to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide effective technical support to ensure seamless IT operations across the organisation.
❖ Deliver first-line support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues
❖ Maintain and update IT documentation, including asset management and support logs
❖ Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and systems
❖ Collaborate with team members to resolve technical problems promptly and efficiently
❖ Provide training and guidance to end-users to enhance their IT proficiency
❖ Ensure compliance with company IT policies and data security standards
❖ Participate in routine system backups, updates, and maintenance tasks
❖ Manage and prioritise support requests using the helpdesk ticketing system
❖ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the IT support function
Requirements
We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient individual with a strong commitment to delivering excellent IT support within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of IT systems and demonstrate excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
❖ Proven experience in providing IT support, preferably within a corporate or fast-paced setting
❖ Proficient knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
❖ Familiarity with network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
❖ Experience with hardware maintenance and repair, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
❖ Ability to manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory or similar directory services
❖ Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage time efficiently
❖ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of liaising with colleagues at all levels
❖ A collaborative approach with a willingness to work as part of a team to resolve issues swiftly
❖ Relevant IT qualifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional, or equivalent
❖ Flexibility to provide occasional out-of-hours support as required
❖ Understanding of data protection regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
❖ Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical problems
