The Opportunity

Morgan Jones is recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing organisation seeking an IT Systems Support Engineer to join its busy IT team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive IT professional who enjoys solving technical challenges, supporting end users, and contributing to the development of business systems. Alongside day-to-day support responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to work on software enhancements, reporting, and wider IT improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to users across the business
• Configure new users, devices, and system access
• Resolve hardware, software, and network issues
• Perform administration of PCs, servers, and infrastructure
• Assist with system upgrades and improvement projects
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
• Support reporting and data extraction using SQL
• Contribute to software development and system enhancements
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety requirements

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good written communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Windows 10/11/Server

Desirable

• Networking knowledge including VLANs, routing, wireless and firewalls
• VMware and virtualisation experience
• C#, .NET, ASP WebForms or WinForms experience
• SQL Server and reporting knowledge
• Experience using ticketing systems
