Your new company
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking and ambitious organisation with a strong commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people through exceptional education and support. Formed through the coming together of two highly successful and well-established multi-academy trusts, the organisation has been created with a shared vision to expand its impact, strengthen school improvement and provide high-quality educational experiences to more communities. Bringing together expertise, resources and a proven track record of success, the trust supports children and young people from early years through to post-16 education across a growing family of academies. At the heart of the organisation is a culture of care, inclusion and high expectations. Colleagues are valued as the key driver of success, and the trust is committed to fostering a sense of belonging, supporting wellbeing and investing in professional development.
Your new role
Reporting to the Hub IT Manager for West Yorkshire, the successful IT Technician will act as a primary point of contact for all technical support related queries, delivering timely, solution-focused assistance to staff and pupils to minimise disruption to learning. You will be responsible for resolving tickets logged on the ICT helpdesk, including devices, logins, software, printers, and classroom technology, administering secure user accounts for pupils and staff, and diagnosing and resolving common ICT issues efficiently and professionally. Working collaboratively with senior colleagues and line managers, you will further execute routine system maintenance on Academy ICT equipment across all our Academies, ensuring it is clean, functional, and ready for use. The role further includes responding to support requests via phone, email and in person in a timely manner, and escalating complex technical issues to senior colleagues when necessary. In this role, you will work closely with the Hub IT Manager and the wider central IT team, as well as working across the local academies, therefore may need to travel between sites.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you will have a passion for working in IT, specifically for providing a high level of IT support in the education sector and making a difference to teaching and learning in the classroom. As this role is based predominantly at 2 academies, but with occasional travel required to other sites in West Yorkshire, you must possess your own vehicle and a valid UK driving licence.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a salary of between £26,000 and £28,000 dependent on experience and will be joining this supportive team in a newly merged organisation where you will be offered further training and support. From a benefits perspective, you will receive a local government pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement and access to various additional lifestyle benefits.
