JIB Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently. The Electrician will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical infrastructure within our organisation.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with safety standards and regulations
• Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and safety regulations
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installation and repair tasks
• Document work performed and report on any issues requiring further attention
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects efficiently

Skills

• Proven experience working with electrical systems in commercial or industrial environments
• Competence with power tools including drills, saws, and testers
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Ladder-racking
• Cable tray installation
• Gold JIB card and IPAF required.
