Job Coach – Two Permanent Opportunities Salary: £25,200–£26,780
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–4:30pm (35 hours per week)
Contract: Permanent, full-time

We are recruiting two Job Coaches on behalf of an established employment and skills organisation. You will provide personalised, end-to-end support to individuals facing barriers to work, helping them develop their confidence, improve their employability and secure sustainable employment.

The client’s identity will be shared with suitable applicants during the recruitment process.

What you’ll be doing This is much more than simply helping people apply for jobs. You will build trusted relationships, understand each participant’s circumstances and create a personalised plan that moves them closer to sustainable employment.

Managing your own caseload, you will:

  • Welcome new participants and guide them through the programme.

  • Complete initial assessments and vocational profiles.

  • Identify individual strengths, ambitions and barriers to employment.

  • Develop personalised Employment Action Plans.

  • Deliver one-to-one coaching tailored to each participant’s needs.

  • Help participants improve their confidence and motivation.

  • Provide practical support with CVs, job searches and applications.

  • Deliver interview preparation and workplace-readiness coaching.

  • Support participants with financial awareness and travel planning.

  • Coordinate interviews and gather constructive employer feedback.

  • Maintain regular contact during the early stages of employment.

  • Help participants address workplace challenges and remain in work.

  • Identify progression and development opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate participant records and employment evidence.

  • Work towards targets for engagement, job outcomes and sustained employment.

What we’re looking for You will be an encouraging and resilient communicator who can build trust while keeping participants focused on their goals. You will be comfortable managing a varied caseload and working towards measurable outcomes.

You will need:

  • Experience supporting unemployed individuals or disadvantaged groups.

  • Experience delivering coaching, mentoring or employability support.

  • Experience working in a target-driven environment.

  • Strong coaching, motivational and relationship-building skills.

  • A good understanding of the barriers people can face when seeking work.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • The ability to organise and manage a participant caseload.

  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

A Level 3 Certificate for Supported Employment Practitioners would be advantageous but is not essential.
