Joiner in Burngreave, Sheffield

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Joiner to join Sheffield City Council on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Reading Drawings: Interpreting technical blueprints, design briefs, and architectural specifications. 

• Measuring and Cutting: Calculating precise dimensions and cutting, shaping, and smoothing timber, MDF, and plywood.

• Manufacturing Items: Constructing items in a workshop environment—such as doors, windows, staircases, cabinets, and custom furniture—traditionally using interlocking joints

• Assembling Components: Fitting together individual wooden pieces to create finished structural or ornamental units before installation.

• Maintenance and Repair: Restoring, fixing, or replacing damaged wooden fixtures, frames, and architectural features. 

Essential Requirements

• Experience working as a Joiner 

• Basic DBS
