Joiner Carpenter in Wigan, Greater Manchester

BRS are currently recruiting for an experienced 1st Fix Joiner to work on a construction project in Wigan.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality first-fix carpentry and joinery work, working as part of the site team and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carrying out 1st fix joinery and carpentry works.
• Installing timber studwork, partitions and structural timber.
• Installing floor joists and roof timbers.
• Fitting door frames, linings and other first-fix components.
• Measuring, cutting and installing timber accurately.
• Working from drawings and site specifications.
• Working alongside other trades and site management.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area.
• Following all site health & safety requirements.
• Completing work to the required programme and quality standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a 1st Fix Joiner on construction sites.
• Valid CSCS Skilled Worker card.
• Relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent is preferred.
• Own tools and PPE.
• Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• Reliable and able to work as part of a team.
• Previous commercial or new-build experience would be advantageous.
