Search Consultancy is looking for an experienced and detailed Joiner to join our team on a high-spec project in Durham. We are partnering with a reputable main contractor delivering a commercial finish that requires clean internal joinery work.

This is an ideal role for a skilled joiner who takes pride in high-end internal fit-outs-specifically internal door sets and specialised acoustic wall panelling-and wants consistent, local work under an organised site team.

Working on a modern development in Durham, your duties will include:

• 2nd Fix Joinery: Hanging, swinging, and dressing internal doors, fitting door frames, architraves, skirtings, and ironmongery to a seamless finish.

• Acoustic Panelling: Measuring, cutting, align-mounting, and installing specialised timber acoustic wall panels and slatted feature walls to exact architectural specifications.

• Precision Finishing: Ensuring all cuts, joints, and mitres are tight, level, and clean for final inspection and handover.

• Drawing & Spec Compliance: Reading and working directly from interior design layouts and detail drawings to ensure pattern continuity and proper fixings.

• Material Care: Handling pre-finished timber and acoustic panels with care to prevent surface damage or waste.

• CSCS Card: A valid CSCS card (Blue Skilled Worker preferred) is mandatory.

• Specialist Experience: Solid background in 2nd fix joinery with hands-on experience fitting internal doors and decorative/acoustic wall panel systems.

• Tools & PPE: Must have a complete kit of professional 110v or cordless power tools (mitre saw, routers, nail guns, lasers) and standard 5-point PPE.

• Eye for Detail: High aesthetic standards-delivering neat, flush-fitting finishes required for high-spec commercial spaces.

• Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.

• Competitive CIS Rate: A reliable rate of £23.00 per hour.
