We are currently recruiting for an experienced Joiner to join a Local Authority Housing Repairs team covering Newcastle and North Tyneside. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity working Monday to Friday with sociable hours, carrying out repairs and maintenance to both void and tenanted properties.


Key Responsibilities
 
  • Carry out responsive repairs within domestic properties
  • Complete refurbishment works to void properties
  • Undertake kitchen and bathroom repairs and installations
  • Work within tenanted and unoccupied properties across Newcastle and North Tyneside
  • Ensure work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety requirements
  • Deliver excellent customer service when working within occupied homes


Requirements
 
  • NVQ Level 2 in Joinery
  • Previous experience carrying out domestic property repairs and maintenance
  • Experience working within housing or social housing environments
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively


Salary & Benefits
 
  • £18.16 Ltd per hour (PAYE Equivalent £15.58)
  • Temp to Perm opportunity
  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Holiday allowance
  • Overtime available
  • Sociable working hours
