Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Junior Accounts Receivable Assistant to work for a company in Long Crendon. This is an entry level position where no prior experience is needed, just an enthusiastic approach to learning, meticulous attention to detail and locally based as this is a fully office based role.

The Junior Accounts Receivable Assistant will support the Accounts team in maintaining an efficient account's receivable function. The role focuses on raising invoices, allocating receipts, assisting with credit control activities, and ensuring customer accounts are accurately maintained. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in the accounts department. No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided. For the right candidate, there will also be an opportunity to study towards an AAT qualification to further develop their knowledge and skills.

Role: Junior Accounts Receivable Assistant

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 Per Anum

Location: Long Crendon

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Accounts Receivable Assistant:

  • Generate and process customer invoices.
  • Import daily sales invoices and ensure all invoices are accurate, complete, and meet company and client requirements.
  • Liaise with account managers and clients to obtain purchase orders and ensure invoices are approved promptly.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and queries.
  • Allocate daily cash receipts and assist with account reconciliations.
  • Support month-end processes and wider finance reporting.
  • Work closely with operational teams to improve the accuracy and efficiency of invoicing processes.

About you:

  • Keen to build a career within the accounts department, particularly in accounts receivable and credit control.
  • Excellent attention to detail, professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and willing to learn accounting systems such as Sage Line 50
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confident speaking with customers and colleagues by telephone and email.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage your workload effectively.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
